And this one is for the North East Georgia Police Academy, for whom we are printing shirts for the upcoming graduating class. This logo goes on the front left breast. This original, unlike the last two, was provided as a digital file; but, again, not print-quality. Once again, the seal in the middle is dropped in from a high-res PDF provided graciously by the S.o.G. Did you know that, though this seal has been used on State publications for four decades, it was never formally adopted by the Assembly? I know, right?

This one I spent a bit more time in recreating the fringe, doing one pass just tracing their lines with the Pen tool, then adjusting it to fit the now-perfectly-circular central matter, then doing a few passes around tweaking to thicken up the lines and make them more even. It probably needs a bit more tweaking, but the more I work on it, the more liberties I take. Haven’t checked on if it’s a felony to improve official state seals without permission.

I wasn’t entirely sure about the typeface for this one: I used Helvetica Neue, because it was close, but the R isn’t exactly right. Also the original font seems meatier, but I’m not sure if that’s because of printing irregularities. If anybody knows exactly what typeface the police use, can you tell me?
