Ripping Tony’s Page From Its Coil
What I learned today:
- omitting .stop() before animation in jQuery is what caused me ~4 hours of frustration and learning. Bless/curse it.
- Photoshop does not output reliable registration marks for a 4-screen print; not for me, anyway.
- An emotional boss does not (and should not) affect my ability to do good work. This applies when I am my own boss, as well as when someone else is. Steely resolve is potent.
- The only things a bed and a table have in common are their general shape, and their relative hardness/softness.
The major projects I’m working on are — I suppose — the GPM website, adapting to working a near-full-time job and still doing anything else productive, writing on the secret hovel, and ceteras. Other than the GPM site (and sites I’m queued to build), I don’t have any large, measurable, personal-type projects.
Over the last few weeks I wanted to reduce my coffee intake and the time I spent on video games, and I’ve only had a smidgen of real coffee in two weeks, and have sharply reduced video game time. Successes? Sure. I’m malleable and I can adapt to any form. Just reminding myself of that.
