Read this a couple of weeks ago. Not what you might expect based on his talk show schtick. Clever, “spiritual” after a fashion, poignant. History- and world-bending. Vonnegut isn’t a bad comparison, in terms of tone and scope, but is of course not the whole picture or entirely fair to either of them. I thoroughly enjoyed it, without reserve.
